History of Cornerstone Baptist Church

Cornerstone Baptist Church was started in 1985 under the guidance of Pastor Joe Doyel. The Doyel family faithfully served the Lord in Fontana until Pastor Doyel resigned in 2008. When Pastor Doyel resigned, the church voted for the current Assistant Pastor, Save Sikele, to be the lead Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

Pastor Sikele served as a missionary to his home country of Fiji from 1993 to 2006 and then served as Assistant Pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church until becoming the senior pastor. The Sikele family served the Lord at Cornerstone Baptist Church. Pastor Sikele’s tenure as senior Pastor of Cornerstone was from 2008 until his resignation in 2018.

The Lord then led Paul Pizano to take the lead role as Pastor of Cornerstone in October of 2018. Pastor Pizano served as an Assistant Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Corona, CA for 3 years until the Lord opened the door for him and his wife to serve the people of Cornerstone. Pastor Pizano intends to faithfully serve the Lord right here in Fontana for many years to come. God has done great things in the history of Cornerstone and we look forward to what the Lord has for us in the future!
